Wilfrid Desir is a Contemporary painter and medical physician, born in Port-au-Prince, Haiti in 1932.

He studies art at the Art School at Old Church, in Bergen County, New Jersey under Robert Glaisek. Interested as a young man in art, literature, music, photography and dance, he was one of the few to meet the standards to get admitted to Haiti's Medical School. He later moved to New York and practiced Emergency Medicine in New York City before he retired in 2004.
