Walter Bollendonk is a listed painter known for his marine, seascape, landscape, and still life works.

Born in New York City, New York in 1897, he studied at the Parsons School and the National Academy. For many years he worked on the art staff for the William Randolph Hearst Publications in New York City. He exhibited at several notable venues including the Salmagundi Club, the Salons of America, and the Society of Independent Artists.

Fourteen of his works are in the permanent collection of the Navy Museum in Washington DC. He died in 1977.
