Vladimir Cora is a well-listed and highly regarded painter, born in Nayarit in 1951, and named by his father after Vladimir Lenin.

Vladimir Cora was inspired to become a painter after seeing a print of Monet's "Water Lilies". He became a long term pupil of Rufino Tamayo between 1978 and 1991, when Rufino Tamayo died.

Vladimir Cora spends part of his time in California where he feels he ahs a larger market for his artwork.
