Veniero Canevari is a listed Italian painter who was born
in Farnese at Viterbo in 1926 and died in Rome in 1988. He attended the
Accademia di Belle Arti in Rome and the Accademia di San Luca studying under
Magni, Martini and Heat. His work has been exhibited around the world.
He worked as an illustrator for many newspapers and
magazines, and as the artistic director of the publishing house Canes. He was
the son of the famous sculptor Silvio Canevari. He is best known for his modern
take on harlequins, nuns, and friars.
