A well known figurative artist known for his sculptures, drawings, paintings and collages, Tom Otterness was known for his depiction of plump , asymmetrical little people.

 Born in Wichita, Kansas in 1952, he attended the Art Student's League in New York City, New York, and participated in the Independent Study Program at the Whitney Museum of American Art. His art has been exhibited in several prominent museums, and he currently works in New York City.
