Born in 1889, Sam Hyde
Harris is a well-listed California painter, known for his landscapes of the
California terrain.
He
studied at the Arts Student League in New York City, New York, as well as
the Chouinard Institute, and was a pupil of Stanton McDonald Wright and
Frank Tolles Chamberlin. His works have been exhibited widely and are highly
collectible. He died in 1977.
