A listed Southern California painter, Roy M Ropp is known as the creator and director of the Laguna Beach, California Pageant of the Masters. He is known for painting seascapes, landscapes and Spanish Missions.

Born in 1888 in Butler County, Kansas, he moved to Laguna Beach, California in 1921. He retired to the high Desert town of Yucca Valley in 1961 and taught art classes. He exhibited as a member of the Laguna Beach Artist's Association, the Festival of the Arts, and the Riverside Artist's Association. He died in 1974.
