Robert Sivard is a listed period painter of character studies and historic buildings.

Born in 1914 in New York, he studied at the Pratt Institute, the National Academy of Design, and the Academie Julian in Paris, France. Sivard moved to Paris in 1949 and worked as the Director of Visual Information for the United States Embassy. He began painting shop fronts and eventually had his first show in Paris, then was represented by New York City's Midtown Galleries.

His works were also exhibited at the Corcoran Gallery, MOMA, the National Academy of Design and the Pennsylvania Academy of Fine Arts.

He died in 1990.
