Robert George Gilberg is a listed California painter, teacher, and lithographer born in 1911 in Oakland, California. He studied at the Oakland Art Center in the 1930's and at Sierra College with Joseph Sheridan before serving in the Army during World War II.

He painted abstractions and landscapes of the High Sierra and exhibited at the Oakland Art Museum, the San Francisco Museum of Art, the California Watercolor Society, and the California State Fair in 1957 where he was awarded the purchase prize. He died in 1970.
