Born in 1913, Piero Fornasetti is considered one of the
foremost and prolific decorative artists of the Twentieth Century.
Auction houses around the globe have featured his work
on found screens, ceramics, furniture, and many other objects. Once
introduced to his work, it is easy to identify his distinctive style,
usually accompanied only by a small paper label, if it remains.
This piece was found on a recent buying trip to the Bay
area of California. He died in 1988.
