Born in 1897, P. R. McIntosh is a listed painter, muralist, mosaic and
stained glass artist who grew up on a farm in rural Southern Indiana. Taking an interest in art at the age of 12, he had a sixty year career as an
artist and teacher.
He earned his BS degree from Bradley University, and a BFA
and MFA from the Art Institute of Chicago, Illinois. McIntosh also exhibited in
Paris, France after World War II and later in New York City. His paintings have
sold at auction for as much as $3,998.00.
He died in 1985.
