Born in Panaca, Nevada in 1890, listed muralist and painter Myron Nutting studied at the Boston Museum Fine Arts School, the Art Students' League of New York, and in Paris at the Academie Julian under Andre Lhote and the University of Paris under Maurice Denis.

He taught art at the Layton School in Milwaukee, Wisconsin, and the Chouinard in Los Angeles, California. His works were exhibited at the Art Institute of Chicago, MOMA and PAFA. He died in 1972.
