A very well listed Buck's County, Pennsylvania modernist painter, Louis Bosa was born in 1905 near Venice, Italy, and studied at the Academia Delle Belle Arte, then the Arts Student's League in New York with John Sloan.

He is known for his modern genre-figures and landscape paintings. His work is in many museum collections and has been featured in several American Art Review articles. He died in 1981.
