Leon Saulter is a listed sculptor, painter, poet, and teacher born in Poland in 1908.

By the 1930's he was a resident of Los Angeles, California, and was active on the Federal Art Project (WPA) during the Great Depression. He exhibited with the Sculptors and Painters Association of Los Angeles, the Artists Union (LA), the prestigious Stendhal Gallery of Los Angeles, the Santa Barbara Museum, and the Los Angeles County Museum of Art (LACMA).

His works are in the Santa Barbara Museum, Bonita Union High School, and the David Starr Jordan School in Long Beach, California.

He died in 1986.
