 Kinoshita Tomio is a well-listed printmaker born in 1923 in a Japanese fishing village.

He graduated in 1941 from the Nagoya City Crafts High School. Originally an oil painter, he learned the art of seal carving from his wife and started making prints in 1955. He exhibited at the Japanese Print Association, winning their association prize in 1957.

From 1960 to 19066, he was a member of the National Painting Association and submitted works annually for exhibitions up until the 62nd annual Japanese Print Association exhibit in 1994. He died in 2004.
