K. Chin is a listed painter and illustrator of Chinese ancestry who was born in Portland, Oregon in 1920.

His initial artistic studied were at the Portland Museum School of Art and the University of Oregon. During WWII, he served in the US Air Corps as a mechanical draftsman. in his career as an Art Director, he illustrated magazine covers and later had his own gallery in New York City, New York at the Bergdorf Goodman department store.

His last venture was a gallery at Carmel-by-the-Sea in California. He died in 1995.
