Jules Maidoff is a listed artist born in 1933 in New York who studied at the Art Students League, Cooper Union, and the City College of New York.

Awarded a Fulbright Scholarship in 1956, he studied painting in Italy. His works have been shown in many museums in the United States and Italy, including the Museum of Modern Art and the Corcoran Gallery, and has had many one-man shows from 1954 to 2013.
