Born in 1911, Jade Fon, AWS is a well-listed painter and educator, and was influential in establishing the California School of Watercolor painting.

He was the founder of a well-known watercolor workshop in Asilomar, California. His works were featured in the Gordon McClelland / Jay Last books on the California style. Jade Fon's watercolors have sold at auction for as much as $10,000.00.

He died in 1983.
