Born in 1909, Hans Erni is an internationally known painter, ceramicist, and printmaker.

He attended the Kunstgewerbeshule in Lucerne, Switzerland in 1927 to 1928, followed by further studies to Paris and Berlin. HE associated with Hans Arp, Alexander Calder and Wassily Kandinsky in the 1930's and was very successful with fresco painting.

He was awarded many prized including the United Nation's Peace Medal and exhibited internationally at many venues including Chicago, Illinois, New Delhi, India and Milan. He died in 2015.
