Born in 1928, Gilles Lamer is a listed French Canadian painter from Baie-du-Febve, Quebec.

He studied at the l'Ecole des Beaux Artes in Montreal, and at the School of Fine Arts and Crafts in London, England. He spent two years in Spain where4 he studied under Andres Fabregat and exhibited in Madrid, Spain with great success.

After traveling in Austria and Italy, he returned to Canada and has been teaching at the Art Center of the Three Rivers since 1958.

He is listed in A Dictionary of Canadian Artists.
