George Nama is a well-listed printmaker, sculptor, and teacher born in
1939 in Pittsburgh, Pennsylvania; educated at Carnegie Mellon, and the
Atelier 17 in Paris studying with Stanley William Hayter.
A prominent National Academician, George Nama has
prints in the permanent collection of the Smithsonian Museum. He has
illustrated several books of poetry, and has exhibited nationally and
George Nama currently lives in Montauk, New York, and
is on the faculty of the School of the National Academy of Design in New
York City, New York.
