Edward Langley is a well-listed painter, inventor, film director and teacher.

Born in 1870 in London, England, he was abandoned by his family at an early age, and became an international adventurer. He worked with William Selig in developing the motion picture camera, and became a United States citizen in 1904.

As an artist, he was primarily well-known for his desert landscape watercolors, one of which sold for a record $3,000.00 in 2007.

He died in 1949.
