Edward Horace Nicholson is a well-listed painter who was born in 1901 in Lincoln, Illinois.

He trained at the ART Institute of Chicago and the Grand Central School of Art in New York City, New York. Primarily known for his portraits, he also created landscapes and marinescapes. His works were exhibited at the Smithsonian Institution, the Hoosier Salon, and the Palette & Chisel Club in Chicago, Illinois. He died in 1966.
