A note on the back, verso of this artwork gives the location of this scene painting of a ranch as a location in Baja, California.

The painting was executed by Edith P Wright, born in 1907, who was the "first wife of Captain Bennett Wright of Coronado, California in 1971 (fall)". Little else is known about this artist except that the work itself represents a verdant scene of the California landscape of this period. She died in 1976.
