Earl (Erle) Lonsbury is a listed New Jersey painter and muralist, known for his genre paintings and illustrations.

Listed in Who Was Who In American Art, 1564 - 1975, he lived in Bayonne, New Jersey, and was trained at the Art Students League in New York City, New York. He exhibited with the WMAA in 1922, the Society of Independent Artists in 1923 - 24, the Art Institute of Chicago in 1931, and the Salons of America in 1934.

He was a WPA muralist who painted a large mural of the 69th Regiment Armory in New York City in 1936.
