Douglass Parshall is a well-listed
California artist, born in 1899 in New York City and trained
at the Boston Museum School and the Academie Julian in
At the age of fifteen, he had one of
his landscapes exhibited at the National Academy of Design.
In 1917, he relocated to Santa Barbara, California, and was
active in all of the prominent art associations in the
State. His works were exhibited widely and are in many
museum collections. He died in 1990.
