Donald Shaw McLaughlan is a well-listed Canadian born painter and etcher, born on Prince Edward Island in 1876, and relocated to Boston, Massachusetts with his family in 1890.

He first studied art in Boston, but by 1898 had settled in Paris, France to complete his education at the Ecoles des Beaux-Arts. He exhibited at the Salon de la Societe Nationale des Beaux-Arts, and had his etchings exhibited in the Gazette des Beaux Arts. He further exhibited at the Pennsylvania Academy of Fine Arts, the Kennedy Gallery in New York City, and at the Art Institute of Chicago.

He died in 1938.
