Born in 1921, Don Peters was a celebrated illustrator, painter, and writer, and worked for many years for Hollywood, California, movie studios doing concept design for films such as The Planet Of The Apes, and many others.

His works were exhibited at the Metropolitan Museum, the Whitney Museum, and the National Pastel Society of New York. In 1964, he won the Venice Film Festival award for his screenplay for the film The Soldier. He died in 2002.
