Born in 1921, David Segel was a listed
American painter, illustrator and sculptor whose work has
been exhibited in galleries and museums in Paris, New York,
Los Angeles, Philadelphia, and Chicago.
He studied at the Institute of Design
and the Art Institute of Chicago, and the Carnegie Institute
in Pittsburgh. His work is in the permanent collection
of the Whitney Museum, and was awarded many prizes in both
solo and group shows.
