David Alfaro Siqueiros is a famous Mexican muralist, known for his social activist, leftist political works.

Born in 1896 in Chihoahua, Mexico, he studied at the Academy San Carlos and together with Diego Rivera and Jose Clemente Orozco were known as the "los tres grandes" (the three great ones). He produced masterpieces throughout his life that are in the collections of MOMA, the Museum Arte Modern, and other museums throughout Mexico. He died in 1974.
