 Born in 1916, Darwin Musselman is a well-listed California painter, illustrator, and teacher, known for his contribution towards developing the "California Style" of painting.

He studied at the Art Center School in Los Angeles, California, and earned an MFA from the California College of Arts in Oakland, California. Darwin Musselman had more than fifty one man shows, fifty national and international exhibitions, and his works are in major museum collections. He died in 2001.
