Charles Darrigan was a French illustrator who worked for L'Echo du Noel in the 1910's. He illustrated texted stories and also created comic series literature. His series of texted stories about Hugues-I-Capet, King of France; Scenes from the History of the Franks; and Scenes from the Histories of the Last Merovingians are still reproduced today.
