Carl Beetz is a well-listed California
regional artist known for his watercolors, drawings and
lithographs of sporting events and social-realism scenes.
Born in 1911 in San Francisco,
California, Carl Beetz studied at the California School of
Fine Arts, the Art Student's League, and Chouinard
Institute. His work is in many museum collections.
IN the 1940's he taught at the
California College of Arts and Crafts, the Academy of
Advertising Art, and the City College of San Francisco. He
died in 1974.
