Begona Izquierdo Fernandez is a well-listed Spanish modernist painter known for her figurative works.

Born in Bilbao in 1926, she studied painting at the Academia de Ballas Artes de San Fernando. In 1954, she became a Professor of Drawing in the fields of painting and print making.

Her first exhibit was in 1957, after which she had many more exhibits in Spain and abroad. The human figure dominates her work, especially the expressiveness of the hands and feet. She died in Madrid in 1999.
