Arthur Claude Strachan is a well listed watercolorist
born in Edinburgh, Scotland in 1865.
He is known for his sentimental pictures of
flower-wreathed cottages and village scenes. He studied art in Liverpool,
England, and traveled throughout Great Britain painting his works. Between
1888 and 1929, he exhibited in London, and also showed four of his works at
the Royal Academy. His paintings have sold at auction for as much as
$17,000.00. He died in either 1929 or 1935 (unconfirmed).
