This is a nicely-executed portrait of an unknown longshoreman dating back to the 1930's.

We attributed this painting to Frank F. Falk, a Swedish-American listed painter from Chicago, Illinois. While the signature on the painting itself is indistinct, Falk painted in this style according to auction records and the document verso, which indicates his connection to the painting.
